Profhilo® consists of pure hyaluronic acid, without any additives. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that can be found in the human body and contributes to a supple and firm skin. As the body ages, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases. This results in fine lines and wrinkles. Increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin gives many aesthetic benefits. Therefore, it can be found in many beauty products, such as facial creams and fillers. And now it is also avaible as an injectable: Profhilo®, a skinbooster for a natural glow.
Traditional fillers consist of hyaluronic acid and are used to smooth out wrinkles and to shape the face. Profhilo® is different from traditional fillers because it mainly tightens the skin and improves its condition. It does not add volume to the face as fillers do. With Profhilo®, you will keep your own natural beauty.
Profhilo® is administered on 10 points on the face, 5 on each side, by small, superficial injections. It is generally done without local anesthesia as the treament is well-tolerable. If necessary however, it is possible to numb the areas to treat with a topical numbing cream.
When getting Profhilo® for the first time, it is recommended to do two to three treatments with an interval of one month between each of the treatments. The result will be visible from one month after the last treatment. After the base treatment, one treatment can be done every 6 to 12 months to maintain the benefits. If there is no follow-up treatment, the hyaluronic acid in Profhilo® will be naturally broken down by the body and the skin will return to its original condition.
